  6. 12” I-Beam Joist. (Straighter and Stronger – pre- dried)- Pre-Dried to 8%, I – Joist beams are pre-engineered to produce the ultimate structural span and capacity with less shrinkage and movement.
  7. Insulated Corner Studs. The use of a California corner helps to insulate the corner of the house.
  8. Continuous Attic Ventilation. Air comes in through the continuous soffits, and gets pushed through the use of a waffle board. It then escapes through the peak of the roof through the use of the continuous ridge vent.
  9. Insulated Treated Plates. On the foundation, Granite Ridge Builders uses a combination of a black jack adhesive, sill sealer foam, more black jack adhesive, and a sill plate that is treated with a borate chemical that helps prevent insects and water from entering the home.
  10. Andersen High Performance Windows (Argon, LoE & Titanium Dioxide). Granite Ridge Builders offers, as a standard, a double-pane glass with a sealed air space, filled with an argon gas, slowing the passing of hot and cold air.

  13. Vinyl in Baths (Not Carpet). Armstrong vinyl in baths will not rip, tear, or gouge from the normal household use. It will not permanently indent when proper floor protectors are used, and will not discolor from moisture or underlayment panels.

  24. 5/8” Drywall on ceilings (Prevents Bowing). 5/8” is thicker than the ½” provided by most prevents bowing and creases in the ceilings.

  41. Concave, or Tooled, Mortar joints between exterior bricks to prevent freezing. The mortar is tooled or concave, for a weather-resistant mortar joint compressed and shaped with any tool. A curved, hollowed mortar joint formed by a rounded bar.
  42. Anti-siphon freeze-proof water spigots. Eliminates pipe rupture during freezing conditions, even if pipe is left on.
  43. High quality concrete mix developed exclusively for Granite Ridge Builders. With Granite Ridge Builders high quality concrete, we also broom finish with 4” smooth round edge. This helps prevent chipping and damage to the edge. The broom finish creates a durable non-skid surface. Sawed control joints-used on all driveways to direct random cracks.
